The Investment Management Regulatory Organization (IMRO) regulates the activities of firms which manage other people's money - unit trusts and investment companies, merchant, banks, insurance companies and pension funds
It regulates how they can operate and what they are permitted to do. It has a website.
IMRO like other regulators is to have its activities taken over by the City's super regulator, the Financial Services Authority ( FSA ).
