Founder's Shares
Shares subscribed to by the original owners of a business which has since come to to be listed on the stockmarket are known as Founders Shares.
These shares may have special voting rights which allow them to exercise control over certain issues relating to the company's future.
They may also receive a special dividend after ordinary shareholders have received theirs.
