Dual Listing, as you might guess, signifies the listing of a company's shares ontwo separate stock exchanges. For many big U.K., companies, apart from being listed on the London Stock Exchange, they often also choose a listing in New York.
London itself offers second listings to many international companies listing on their home exchanges.
There are also companies which bypass a listing in their home market and go for a place on the stockmarket of another country only. Several hi tech Israeli companies have concluded the Tel Aviv market is not big enough to give them the shop window they'd like, so they've arranged quotes on Wall Street and London instead!
